Getting around

Shoreline Metro provides affordable transportation between Sheboygan, Sheboygan Falls, and Kohler.

All Shoreline Metro buses are equipped with bike racks at the front of each bus. Up to two (2) bikes can be accommodated on each rack, and there is no additional fee or permit required for you to use the bike racks. Paratransit is available for disabled or elderly customers as well. The paratransit application can be found here.

Take a trolley ride through the Sheboygan Squared district of the City of Sheboygan.  This route runs seasonally each year from Memorial Day to Labor Day with service on July 4th.  Popular destinations include Blue Harbor Resort, Harbor Pointe Mini Golf, South Pier, Riverfront, Deland Park/Marina, the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, City Green, historic downtown Sheboygan, and Michigan Avenue.  Ride all day for as low as a $1. Route 40 – The Harbor Centre Express Trolley

Kayak, Surfboard, and other Rentals At EOS Surf Shop

EOS’s seasonal kayak rental dock is located on the Sheboygan River at 820 Indiana Ave in front of Sprecher’s Restaurant.  Rentals are hourly and reservations are not necessary. EOS is located at 510 North 8th Street. Phone: 920-208-7873 Hours: Mon. – Sat. 10a.m. to 7p.m., Sun. 11a.m. to 4p.m.

Public On-Street Parking

Downtown Sheboygan offers several public parking options including metered parking on downtown streets.  The following rates are offered for public on-street parking at metered stalls in downtown Sheboygan:

  • On-Street Parking Meters:
    • 50¢ per hour up to the maximum allowed time on the meter.
    • Parking Meters are available in 15-minute, 3 and 10-hour maximum limits and accept quarters, dimes and nickels only.
  • On-Street Parking Permits:
    • $20/month at meters in the Parking Zone ($50 one-time refundable permit fee applies.)
    •  Some restrictions do apply including 8th Street, Pennsylvania Avenue, and individually marked meters.                

Public Off-Street Parking

Downtown Sheboygan offers several off-street public parking options including metered public parking lots and free parking in outlying areas of the downtown including South Pier and Riverfront. Paid public parking is available Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm. All public parking lots are no charge on nights, weekends and holidays. The following rates are offered for public on-street parking at metered stalls in downtown Sheboygan:

  • Off-Street Parking Lot Meters:
    • 50¢ per hour up to the maximum allowed time on the meter.
    • Parking Meters are available in 15-minutes, 3-hour and 10-hour maximum limits and accept quarters, dimes and nickels only.
    • Lot 14 on Niagara Avenue allows for “pay-per-use” parking.  Rates are posted at the entrance of this lot and accepts bills and credit cards.
  • Off-Street Parking Lots:
    • Free parking available in all parking lots in Riverfront and South Pier*.
    • Some restrictions do apply including overnight parking, no trailers, and campers.

Public off-street parking lots available for general public parking include:

  • Lot 3 – located at N 9th Street & Niagara Ave (behind the Weill Center)
  • Lot 4 – located at N 9th Street & Wisconsin Ave (adjacent to the Mead Public Library)
  • Lot 7 – located in the 800 block of Center Ave (adjacent to the Public Transit Bus Station)
  • Lot 9 – located in the 800 block of Pennsylvania Ave (10-hour meters available)
  • Lot 14 – located in the 700 block of Niagara Ave (north of the formal Boston Store)
  • Lot 16 – located at the round-about on S 8th Street and Indiana Ave
  • Riverfront – located along west banks of the Sheboygan River*
  • South Pier – located on South Pier Drive in the vicinity of Blue Harbor Resort*
  • Heritage Square – located on S 12th Street*
